Tie Guan Yin Hong Cha is a black tea (hong cha) created from the famous Tie Guan Yin oolong. The raw material is the same, but the processing is different: the leaves undergo the deep oxidation typical of black teas. The result is a drink that joins the traditions of oolong with the classic depth of black tea.
The brightness and fruitiness of oolong are combined here with the richness of black tea. In the cup you can find notes of dried fruit and nuts, and sometimes a light chocolate shade. The flavor stays soft and warming.
