Sheng pu-erh from Lancang, 2022, is a young tea from Lancang County, one of the well-known tea regions of Yunnan. It stands out for its fresh aroma, bright flavor and pleasant sweet aftertaste. Lancang shengs are loved for their expressiveness in youth.
Young sheng pu-erh keeps a lively energy: flowers, fruit and a light astringency. The tea is a good introduction to the genre, since it requires no complicated rituals and the liquor stays pleasant through many infusions. A gaiwan or porcelain teapot is the best choice for brewing.
