Rooibos is a classic African herbal drink of good quality: soft and mildly sweet, with a honeyed touch. It is made from the red bush (Aspalathus linearis), which grows in South Africa. The plant is not related to the tea plant at all, so rooibos contains no caffeine and suits an evening cup.
The warming brew has a pleasant taste and goes well plain, or with milk, honey or a slice of lemon. This version is grown in the traditional way; our shop also carries a higher-grade rooibos with a large leaf.
