Sheng Pu-erh "Xigui Trees" 2021 from the Kaishunhao factory (开顺号) is a raw pressed tea from Xigui, a well-known tea area in Yunnan province. Xigui teas are prized for their juicy fruity character, sweetness, and long aftertaste, and the 56 g weight makes this pu-erh a convenient first introduction.
Sheng pu-erh is made without artificial fermentation: fresh leaf is withered, pan-fired, rolled, dried, and pressed. The tea keeps its lively brightness and changes gradually in storage. The small cake is perfect for a trial, a tasting with friends, or a gift.
