Zhengshan Xiaozhong (正山小种, Zhèngshān xiǎozhǒng) is one of the oldest Chinese black teas, native to Fujian province. The name of this pack points to Tongmuguan, an area in the Wuyi Mountains where this tea traditionally comes from, and it was produced by the Zhengshantang (正山堂) brand.
The Chinese call this kind of tea "hong cha", or "black tea", because of the reddish color of the liquor; in the European tradition it is called black tea. This 50 g pack is a good way to get to know Xiaozhong or to keep a small supply for everyday tea sessions.
