The "Xing Li Lai" strainer is a practical stainless steel tea strainer for tea ceremony and everyday tea drinking. It catches fine leaf particles and keeps them out of the cup, so the tea stays clean and pleasant in flavor.
The strainer is shaped like a shallow bowl with two flat handles on the sides, which make it easy to rest on the rim of a teapot, Gaiwan or cup. A fine mesh sits in the center, and Chinese characters are engraved on one of the handles. The surface is smooth and mirror-silver.
This accessory suits loose-leaf tea as well as pu-erh and oolongs, when fine leaf is left in the brewing vessel.
